FBC seeks to safeguard children who participate in the ministries provided on and off campus.

 

 

SERVANTS IN CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Adults who serve in Children’s Ministry must:

•be a member of FBC for at least six months

•complete a Confidential Volunteer Screening Application and personal interview with Children’s Director

•have a Criminial Background Check

 

ELECTRONIC PAGER SYSTEM (BIRTH – AGE 3)

•Parent(s)/legal guardian(s) or responsible party of children (birth – age 3) will be given an electronic pager and a identification diaper bag tag upon arriving in the Nursery, Two-Year Old and Three-Year Old classrooms.

•Parent(s)/legal guardian(s)or responsible party will also be expected to list the name of the child, their name(s) and any special needs of the child on the designated Security Roster.

•Children are released only to the parent(s)/legal guardian(s) or responsible party with the electronic pager and whose name(s) appears on the Security Roster.

 

SECURITY CARD SYSTEM (Age 4 – Grade 6)

•Parent(s)/legal guardians or responsible party is expected to walk child(ren) to his/her classroom.

•Parent(s)/legal guardian(s) or responsible party must show the pre-assigned security card to the leader before receiving his/her child.

•Parent(s)/legal guardians or responsible party of a sixth grader has the choice whether or not to use the Security Card System.

 

VISITORS

•Visitors are given a temporary security card upon visiting any ministry provided for children.

•Visitors may receive a permanent security card upon completion of the Children’s Ministry Registration Form. This form may be obtained from the Children’s Director.
